Gii Technology

  • Gii is a three-dimensional carbon-based nanomaterial, consisting of twisted multilayer of atoms arranged in a honeycomb structure.

  • Graphene is an allotrope of carbon consisting of a single layer of atoms arranged in a hexagonal lattice nanostructure.

  • We are not selling graphene, we are enabling companies accessing the power of Gii enhanced performance.

Please contact us to discuss your product ideas.

  • Gii has a myriad of potential applications. Currently, we have recognized the medical diagnostic space, energy storage for Internet of Things, as well as gas sensing as specific areas of interest but this list is growing with every year.

The extraordinary properties Gii offers a fascinating material platform to make next-generation technologies possible today. All without the common disadvantages of graphene.

  • We are always keen to hear from fellow innovators. Should you have a new, novel use for Gii within our identified industries or beyond, don’t hesitate to get in touch.

  • Gii is grown onto an optimised substrate. The Gii layer does not contain any polymer binders or other components. We use zero solvents and zero chemicals of any kind to achieve above 98% pure carbon content.

The 3D layer is highly resistant to organic solvents in comparison to regular screen-printed carbon electrodes, which cannot stand organic solvents. Our production process takes seconds or minutes, not days.

Our Company

  • Integrated Graphene is a privately held company backed by private investors, we are not a publicly traded entity. Should you wish to discuss opportunities, please submit an enquiry.

  • Our specialist services include:

    • Assay development from concept to high volume manufacturing

    • Updating existing outdated assays e.g. ELISA to produce reliable, reproducible results with Gii

    • A full array of microfluidic and lab on chip development options

  • We offer a unique proposition to our clients in the shape of a customisable partnership model. Our team of industry experts are on hand to offer basic guidance or a full support package dependent on your in-house requirements.

  • Should you wish to purchase our current products including our Gii-Sens, Gii-Sens+ electrochemical electrode or our Gii-Sens adapter please get in touch with your preferred quantity including any custom specifications that you require- e.g. pre-functionalisation.

  • We are totally independent of any institution. Our co-founders met whilst working in the private sector after identifying a need for Gii technology. To learn more, visit our Gii technology page.

  • We see endless possibilities for graphene applications and to achieve this we need talented, dedicated and genuinely nice people to make their mark across R&D Science, Engineering, Quality and Commercial.

If you believe in what we do and want to make that happen better, faster, more sustainably then we are the company for you.

Our Products

  • Our team can work with you to offer customisation of the substrate material. Gii-Sens(+) electrodes can come in a variety of configurations dependent on your requirements. Simply get in touch with your specifications.

  • The working and counter electrodes are Gii (3D carbon scaffold) throughout and across the whole surface. No coatings, binders or dyes.

  • Gii-Sens electrodes can be used in a single step. Using a micropipette just place a drop of 50 to 100 µL onto the surface, covering the three electrodes. To ensure perfect contact and wetting of the whole three electrode area you can pipette onto the surface and back into the micropipette a couple of times. Should you require further assistance feel free to get in touch.

  • To connect to a potentiostat you’ll require an adapter. We recommend the Gii-Sens Adaptor to use the Gii-Sens electrodes for best results and we do offer these as a combination bundle for that reason.

  • Unlike alternatives such as gold screen printed electrodes, Gii-Sens provides a platform for a single step assay without the additional pre-treatment steps for more efficient protocols.

  • For the best results, it is recommended to use Gii-Sens as single-use sensors as you would a typical screen-printed electrode.

  • Our electrode dimensions can be found on our datasheet.

  • Gii-Sens comes unfunctionalised. Gii-Sens+ are pre-functionalised (currently NHS or COOH) ready for you to apply your capture molecule.

  • Assay development is one of our most popular services. We can develop innovative lab-on-a-chip tests and translate existing classic testing methods (ELISA, PCR & RT-PCR) into streamlined quantitative testing suitable for the point of need.

  • Commercially available electrodes and their connectors are not universal, and a thin-film electrode like Gii-Sens has different connector requirements to hard-back electrodes. The Gii-Sens Adaptor has been designed for ease of use with our electrodes, as well as enabling consistent, reliable results.

  • We do occasionally provide samples on a discretionary basis following a successful qualification call.
